Cherry Hill Democrat in freeholder race

CHERRY HILL – A Cherry Hill councilwoman will run as a Democratic freeholder candidate in November’s general election, party officials said Thursday.

Susan Shin Angulo will seek the seat being vacated by Freeholder Michelle Gentek-Meyer, who is running for county surrogate. If elected, the Korean-American would become the first Asian-American to serve on Camden County’s freeholder board.

Shin Angulo, a married mother of two daughters, was elected to Cherry Hill’s council in 2009.
