Pitman police offer free coffee

PITMAN – Borough police officers would like to treat you to a free cup of coffee this week.

The Pitman Police Department is hosting "Coffee with a Cop" from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Wawa store on South Woodbury Road.

Everyone is invited to visit tents in the parking lot and enjoy some coffee and conversation with local officers. Wawa also plans to provide other giveaways, including Tastykakes.

"The Pitman Police Department is always finding new and innovative ways to build better bonds with the community, and trying to strengthen the police-community partnership," Chief Robert T. Zimmerman said. "This is another way to extend the olive branch and build trusting relationships during these most difficult times."

Miss Gloucester County Brenna Weick and Miss South Jersey Kelcie Klaus will be on hand, and Pitman resident Ken Frank will provide musical entertainment.
