ATLANTIC CITY - Authorities say two men robbed and seriously injured an elderly patron at an Atlantic City casino.

City police say the robbery occurred shortly after 5 a.m. Saturday at Harrah’s.

The 76-year-old New York man was trying to enter his hotel room when he was pushed inside by two men wearing ski masks. They assaulted him and stole casino chips, money, and his cell phone.

The victim suffered a broken back and was being treated at a hospital.

Harrah’s security officers found surveillance video of the suspects, and their photos were provided to other city casinos. They were spotted later Saturday at Resorts, where they were arrested.

Bail for each man was set at $100,000. It wasn’t known Sunday if they had retained attorneys.
