Bomb scare closes Evesham municipal complex, road

Courier-Post

The discovery of a suspicious package forced the shutdown of Evesham's municipal complex Thursday morning.

An Evesham police officer found the package, with wires protruding from the side, in the lobby of the municipal building at 5:40 a.m. The package was addressed to Evesham's municipal court judge.

Police evacuated the complex, closed New Road and summoned the State Police Bomb Squad.

The bomb squad detonated the package, which ultimately was deemed not to be an explosive.

The complex reopened at 10 a.m.
