ROAD BLOCKS: Hopkins Lane in Haddonfield closed

Courier-Post

Hopkins Lane in Haddonfield remains closed as repairs continue on the outfall pipe from the Hopkins Pond Dam.

A small sinkhole developed on Hopkins Lane over the outfall pipe from the southern spillway of Hopkins Pond Dam. Camden County and Haddonfield engineers coordinated with New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Dam Safety officials to determine the repairs. It is anticipated the work will be completed by the end of the week.

“Motorists need to be aware of the construction taking place on Hopkins Lane and plan their commutes accordingly,” said Freeholder Ian Leonard, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works.

The Freeholder Board asks residents to report road hazards they encounter to the Camden County Public Works Hotline at (856) 566-2980. The number is answered 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
