Women's shelter accepting toy donations

CAMDEN — The Camden County Women's Center is accepting donations of new, unwrapped toys at its Domestic Violence Outreach and Support Center at 311 Market St., Camden.

The Camden County Women's Center is accepting donations of new, unwrapped toys through Dec. 18.

The center assists victims of domestic violence and offers free, confidential services. The toy drive, in its second year, helps local families in need and is open through Dec. 18.

Once abuse victim, SJ mom works to help others

In 2014, the Camden County Women's Center housed 228 women in its safe house and provided services to 701 women and 744 children through its Outreach and Support Program. The center's legal advocates assisted 1,376 clients in state and municipal courts, and the Domestic Violence Response Team responded to 411 crisis calls in Camden County.
