Bridgeton man dies in Winslow crash

Winslow police arrested a Franklinville man who was initially believed to be a potential drowning victim.

WINSLOW - A Bridgeton man was killed in a one-car crash early Sunday morning, officials said Monday.

Ricky Dawkins, 59, was driving a 2004 Honda Accord about 4:30 a.m. Sunday when it struck a curb and a utility pole, the Camden County Prosecutor's Office said.

The crash, near the intersection of Chews Landing and Sicklerville roads, is under investigation by the the prosecutor's office and the Winslow Township Police Department.
